Managing Your Subscription

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your M2tric subscription at any time. All billing changes are handled through the Stripe customer portal — a secure, self-service page where you manage your plan and payment details.

How to access billing

Step 1: Open Settings

Log in to the M2tric web app and click Settings in the sidebar.

Step 2: Go to Billing

Select the Billing section to see your current plan and subscription status.

Step 3: Click “Manage Subscription”

This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can make changes to your plan, payment method, and billing details.

Only owners and admins can access billing settings. If you don’t see the option, ask your organization’s owner or admin to make changes.

Upgrading your plan

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll get access to the new plan’s features and higher user limits right away.
  • Stripe automatically prorates the difference. You only pay for the remaining time in your current billing cycle at the new rate.
  • Your billing date stays the same — the prorated amount is added to your next invoice.

Downgrading your plan

  • Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan’s features until then.
  • Check your team size first. If the new plan has a lower user limit, make sure your team fits before the downgrade takes effect. You won’t lose users, but you won’t be able to invite new ones until you’re under the limit.
  • Features exclusive to higher plans will become unavailable once the downgrade takes effect.

Cancelling your subscription

From the Stripe customer portal, click “Cancel plan” and follow the prompts. Your access continues until the end of the paid period and you won’t be charged again.

After the period ends, your account will be paused — your data is preserved (jobs, clients, measurements, and photos are not deleted). You can resubscribe at any time from Settings > Billing.

Updating payment details

From the Stripe customer portal, you can:

  • Update your credit or debit card
  • Change your billing email
  • Download past invoices

All payment information is handled securely by Stripe — M2tric never stores your card details.

What payment methods are accepted?

M2tric accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Can I get a refund?

M2tric subscriptions are billed monthly. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact our support team at support@m2tric.com.
